 Well-being and Family Support Assistant

Salary Range:  Level 6 Point 20-27 (19,819 - 24,657 pro rata)

Hours:            25 hours per week (term time only)

Start Date:      Required February 2019

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, driven individual to provide support for pupils and their families to meet social, emotional needs, overcome barriers to learning and enable pupils to reach their full potential.

You will:

  • have significant experience working with primary age pupils
  • have highly effective communication and organisational skills
  • be able to work on your own initiative, have good attention to detail, be reliable and flexible in your working pattern
  • have a good understanding of how to assess and support children’s learning
  • be able to work effectively with parents, providing them with support and training

Midday Assistant

Salary range:            Level 3 – Salary Point Range 10-14

Hours:                     1 hour 15 minutes per day, 5 days per week

Start date:                Immediately (fixed term to 5.4.19)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic caring individual to join our team of Midday Assistants.  The lunchtime is an important part of the day; as well as supporting the children in the dinner hall, Midday Assistants also lead and supervise games and activities to engage the children and administer first aid when required.

The position is for 1 hour 15 minutes per day, 5 days a week and is fixed term until 5th April 2019.

The successful applicant must:

  • be enthusiastic,
  • be happy to engage with the children, supporting them in their play
  • be a positive, calm and flexible team player who is able to work on their own initiative
  • be reliable and demonstrate confidentiality
